Since 2018, “Women in Science-Erlangen Symposium” at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität (FAU) Erlangen-Nürnberg has been bringing together female scientists at different stages of their careers for a lively exchange. This unique symposium, organized by a committee composed solely of female doctoral and postdoctoral researchers from the Department of Chemistry and Pharmacy at FAU, invites inspiring and outstanding female speakers to present their research findings and gives female researchers the opportunity not only to present their scientific achievements, but also to share their challenges and paths to success in science. In addition, early-stage researchers can gain insights into career prospects, as well as build up networks and collaborations with well-recognized female scientists.

This year, SyMoCADS was represented by Lea Erbacher (P1) with a poster on „Nanodevices for pH sensing and control in microliter-scale bioreactors“ and Silvana Zurmühl (P2) with a poster „Comparison of two AMBER force fields regarding structural changes in pH-responsive helical peptides“.

Congratulations to the organizing committee for this inspiring and exciting event!
