The annual alumni and visitor workshops are intended to enable scientific exchange with visiting researchers and industry partners, to stimulate intense discussions, to evaluate the commercial potential of the research, and to support the doctoral and postdoctoral researchers in building their own professional networks. It is planned to invite experts on MC, as well as representatives of partners of the applicants from government research institutes and industry. In the later stages of the RTG, graduates of former cohorts (“alumni”) will be also invited to report on their scientific work and careers.
These two-day events will be held at suitable, secluded venues outside the FAU campus and will be accompanied by social activities to encourage networking. The doctoral researchers have to attend at least three workshops before graduation
