The high quality of research within SyMoCADS has also been acknowledged at the 12th ACM International Conference on Nanoscale Computing and Communication (NanoCom 2025), held in Chengdu, China, from October 23–25.

Kaikai Zhu (P8) and her co-authors received the Best Poster Award for her poster with the title „Airborne Molecular Communication Using MOS Sensors under Controlled Airflow„. The poster describes a novel testbed for air-borne molecular communication that is capable of gas-phase molecule release and detection by MOS sensor arrays.

Bastian Heinlein (P9) and his co-authors received the Best Paper Award for his work with the title „Molecule Mixture Detection and Alphabet Design for Non-linear, Cross-reactive Receiver Arrays in MC„. The paper has been co-authored together with the doctoral researchers and PIs of Cluster 3 and Mercator Fellow Yansha Deng. The paper proposes new algorithms and detectors for molecule mixture communications when imperfect sensor arrays are employed for detection.

Congratulations!
