SyMoCADS’ Representation at IEEE ICC 2026 in Glasgow

This year’s International Conference on Communications (ICC 2026) was held in Glasgow, Scotland, UK. SyMoCADS’ represenation spanned leadership roles and scientific contributions. ICC is one of two flagship conferences of the IEEE Communications Society (COMSOC), alongside Globecom. It is recognized as a premier global forum for communications professionals and researchers to present and discuss the latest developments in the field.

Prof. Robert Schober attended the conference in his capacity as Past President of IEEE COMSOC. Dr.-Ing. Maximilian Schäfer (SyMoCADS’ associate), Teena tom Dieck (P3), and Timo Jakumeit (SyMoCADS’ associate) presented their recent research in interactive sessions.

Conference papers of Teena tom Dieck – “Modulation Schemes for Functionalized Vesicle-based MC Transmitters” -and Timo Jakumeit – “Mixture of Inverse Gaussians for Hemodynamic Transport (MIGHT) in Vascular Networks” – were accepted for presentation.

Additionally, Dr.-Ing. Maximilian Schäfer was invited to present a journal paper published in the IEEE Transactions on Molecular, Biological, and Multi-Scale Communications (TMBMC), titled “The CAM Model: An in Vivo Testbed for Molecular Communication Systems.
